This is the last few days that I am in Australia. One month ago, I came to Australia with excitement, knew nothing about this country. In these 40 days, I began to know more about Australia day by day.
I came from Guangzhou, China. It took me about 2 days to get Australia by plane. There was a big ocean between my parents and me. We were far away from each other. Although I came here, with no family members, I didn’t feel lonely at all. My host parents represented my parents when I was in Australia. They encouraged me when I was afraid about new things. They helped me when I had problems. They told jokes to me when I was sad. They treated me as their own child. I also thought that they were my parents.
Last week, I went camping in a park. The place I lived was not as clean as my homestay, but I also learnt a lot there. I learnt how to survive in the bush. I learnt how to make boats. I learnt how to challenge myself. What’s more, I learnt how to work with a team. I also made many new friends there.
I made not only new ULC friends, but also JPC friends. I got my buddies through PC classes. We showed our power point to each other. We played the games together. We ate Australian food as well. By the way, all the food were delicious expect vegemite. They were kind and beautiful girls. When I stayed with them, I felt happy.
However, all the happy things will never stay with you for a long time. It is time for me to say goodbye. Goodbye, my Australian parents. Goodbye, JPC. Goodbye, Australia. At the end, I also want to say thank you. Thank you, my buddies, thanks for being kind to me. Thank you, my teachers, thanks for teaching and taking care of me. Thank you, myself, thanks for coming to such a good country. Because of it, I have a valuable memory, and I will never forget it.
