My name is Rudy. I am from G9 E. I have been in Australia for 4 weeks. The following are my feelings of staying in there.
John Paul College is a very big school, much larger than ULink College. It takes about 20 minutes to go through the whole school. You can see many kinds of creatures on JPC, such as some birds. There are also a lots of trees and I feel very comfortable when I walk in the school.
To help me learn more things about Australia and improve my English. I got a buddy who is named Naomi. She is so kind that she always sings songs for me and makes me happy. At the first time I met her, I was too shy and nervous to say anything to her. She didn’t mind it and talked with me actively. It really made me feel better. When I played the sports which I am not good at, she would help me. I feel very happy when I am in school.
Every day after school, my host family picks me up. On the way home, I can listen the songs, which Bernie sings for me, who is my host father. He often tell jokes to me. My host mother is a kind lady who is good at cooking. She prepare many different kinds of foods for me every day. She also said that she will make a big cake when I am here. That sounds really good. She also told me that they would celebrate the Christmas before we come back to China, because she wanted to let me learn more culture about Australia, like, how the Australians usually celebrate the festival.
To be honest, I miss my parents very much. However, my homestay always encourage me and make me feel better.
Before I came there, I used to think that I would stay in Australia for a long time, but now I think that I don’t have enough time to stay there. Anyway, I feel very happy every day.
